Irie loved her christmas present from Carl, Kathleen, Lily and Terra. The puppy-strength chew toy was no match for Irie's amazing chewing ability, but she loves them all the same. They're in multiple pieces now, but she's still playing/chewing on them constantly. Other randomly funny things that Irie's doing these days....
- When out on a walk, if Irie sees a squirrel, another dog, or a particularly entertaining person that she can't get too she'll let out a funny little bark/yowl. She'll then run to the nearest try and jump up on it continuing the yowl. And then (the best part) she'll bite the bark of the tree. I have no real clue why she does this. I assume going to the tree is because squirrels run up the trees so she's just associating everything exciting as going up the tree??? But the biting? I just don't understand. It's pretty funny - though admittedly a little embarrassing when other people see it and just look at you like you and your dog are crazy.
- Irie definitely does not like getting her paws wet. If there's a puddle on the sidewalk she'll jump from one side to the other (no matter how big it is.) This is particularly funny at the dog park, because there's a drain in the middle of the park and there's almost always a puddle around it. While Irie's busy chasing other dogs around the park, she'll run right through the middle and jump the drain and any water surrounding it. Because she's so fast it really has the effect of looking like she's flying. The other people at the dog park think it's pretty hysterical.
